Timber Rattlesnake Mating Ritual – “Combat Dance”

A Conservation partner in Shannon County recently witnessed the rarely observed mating ritual of timber rattlesnakes.

In the video you can see two male timber rattlesnakes engaged in a “combat dance”, competing for opportunity to mate with the female. The female rattlesnake was also spotted nearby although she is not shown in the video.
