There can be poetry in any project; the image, the required work and the process of conservation. This painting of a few poor souls adrift, heavily damaged and worse for wear perfectly mirrors this moment in the studio where motivation is waning, the impetus to focus and dive into complicated projects just isn’t there and a general malaise has settled.
